Our dear volunteer at an "Take what you need" event
As years passed by, we became an organization that not only specialized on climate change but many other problems that endanger our lives and the planet we live on.
One of our most known projects was a big protest in order to bring visibility to a special cause: the 2019 Amazon Rainforest wildfires. We managed to raise money and donate it to stop the wildfires. A big GreenLa team went there in order to help the people affected by this natural disaster.
Our staff members, grouped with volunteers, organized a lot of visits at schools all over the world in order to educate the youth regarding pollution, composting, no-waste lifestyle. They tried to teach them through interactive ways how to contribute to making the world a better, cleaner, safer space.
You've probably heard everyone say "I love animals". But do they mean all animals It kinda seems like most people are reffering to dogs, cats, in general pets. How can you label yourself an animal lover when you sacrifice pigs, lambs, horses for your own vanity and pleasure when so many meat alternatives exist? We encourage eating animal based foods like eggs, milk, cheese, but only if they were made by animals that live happily, not in cages.
Our staff created a social media app in which you could get inspired on ways to lead a more sustainable life. The app showed to people which corporations dump the most waste in the oceans, which companies pollute more and needed to be avoided. It also provided users with tips&tricks on how to be more responsible, how to support local businesses, how to respect the opinions of native peoples etc.
